Thin films characterization; Nanomechanical properties of materials; Structural analysis; Phase transformation; High-temperature alloys; Molecular dynamics simulations.
Research Experience:
Sheng-Rui Jian received the B.S. and M.S. degrees in Electrical Engineering from Chung Yuan Christian University, Chung Li, Taiwan, in 1998 and 2000, respectively; and Ph.D. degree in Electrophysics from National Chiao Tung University, Hsinchu, Taiwan, in 2006.
He is currently a Professor in the Department of Materials Science and Engineering, I-Shou University, Kaohsiung, Taiwan. His research focuses on the nanoscale mechanical deformation behaviors and mechanisms of semiconductor materials and thin films using microscopic techniques. Moreover, the nanomechanical properties and deformation behaviors of nanostructured materials, such as: 1D nanowires/nanotubes and 2D nanolayers, are investigated by using molecular dynamics simulations.
