Research Experience:
Muhammad Arif Ab Aziz is a senior
lecturer of Chemical Engineering at Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM) in
Skudai, Johor, Malaysia. He obtained his undergraduate degree in Chemical
Engineering (2009) from UTM. He received his PhD in 2015 working on the
valorization of CO2 over solid acid/base heterogeneous catalysts.
His current research interests focus on the design and synthesis of advanced
materials and heterogeneous catalysis relevant to clean environment and energy.
He has also been involved in waste management research such as organic waste composting
for sustainable solid waste management. He has published more than 20 scientific papers in international
journals and has presented more than 30 in international conferences with a
total of 726 citations and h-index 11, as reported in Scopus. He has received
several important recognitions to his research career, including the Nippon
Sheet Glass Foundation Grant.
