Research experience:
Yanjun Li’s research focus is fluid-structure interaction, ocean morphing structure design and analysis for ocean related applications. His work involves using CFD technology to study the performance of underwater turbines for renewable energy engineering; characterize ocean morphing structure for different application including underwater inflatable structure and water absorption materials. His past research activities have included underwater housing design and fabrication, ocean optical sensors package assembly; aquaculture tank monitoring and lighting system design and prototyping; underwater Lidar system visualization.
